Springfield, Illinois – Springfield School District released a statement today regarding a bomb threat that was called into the school earlier today.
Springfield School District 186 statement said the following, “SHS received bomb threats via phone call earlier today. We are working with the Springfield Police Department to identify the caller. There was a previously scheduled routine K-9 search this morning prior to the calls and nothing was found. Additional police and K-9 searches were completed after the calls out of an abundance of caution and again, nothing was found. Classes continued as scheduled and students were dismissed at the regular time.”
